:: Welcome To Tracks Vacations ::
Welcome to Tracks, it's our 6th season in La Rosiere 1850. We love the village, the skiing and boarding, the spectacular views and the friendliness of our French neighbours. One of the reasons we chose La Rosiere, was its snow certainty, it's high and sunny but more importantly for winter sports it has one of the best snow records in the Alps. La Rosiere is consistently rated as one of the top five French resorts for snow cover.
"The sunniest slopes in the Tarentaise, but also the snowiest; the link to La Thuile adds an extra dimension. All in all the resort best suits families & groups of skiers with mixed abilities looking for a relaxed time" Where to Ski and Snowboard 2008.
The 'Where to Ski and snowboard Guide' for 2006 lists La Rosiere as one of the most snowsure resorts in Europe. "This modern resort sits at an elevated position at the end of the long Tarentaise valley which runs roughly SW-NE. Both the village and the ski area are open to the storms from the West and South West that are funneled into the Tarentaise valley.
La Rosiere receives the full energy of these storms and gets more snow than, for example, nearby Val d'Isere at the same altitude".
